Programs

Kids have a natural fascination for airplanes and the magic of flight. The Fantasy of Flight program channels this fascination into a true learning experience through a series of activity centeres set up at Wings Over the Rockies Museum. The program also has a statewide presence and has been presented in school dining halls, auditoriums and gyms, in public libraries, at airports, in airplane hangars, and even in a tent at the 1999 Boy Scout Camporee. Currently, stations include: the Theory of Flight incorporating Bernoulli's Principle and Newton's Laws, as well as Navigation, Communications, Helicopters, Rocketry, and flying time on a computerized Flight Simulator. Rotating through these stations puts the exciting world of aviation at each student's fingertips...letting them seen firsthand how airplanes are designed, built and fly.
